A Serious Look Under The Hood of The Pentax K5 DSLR Camera

Just a casual search online will reveal how vast the digital camera offers are for this expansive audience. Pentax has come out with their K5 DSLR camera recently in the continuing attempt to win market share. However that is really great news for photography lovers. So given that situation with the market, that means you will never experience a shortage of innovation. So with the DSLR K5, you are looking at very strong updates, features and solid engineering. Quite simply, Pentax built upon previous successes and expanded certain functions with technological improvements. Much stronger sensing specifications and other innovations are found in the Pentax K5 DSLR.
One thing you will hear about with the K5 is how much was accomplished for auto-focus capability. Just one improvement will be found in a higher degree of control. The K5 uses sensors and coordinate processing to have the level of auto-focus specs seen in this camera. Additional design improvements included software specifically for processing auto-focus. The ability to focus in challenging light scenes is perhaps one of the real tests for any auto-focus feature. Sometimes there are very challenging lighting conditions, low light, and for that you can just use the spot beam on the K5.
If you have ever experienced a 100% field of view in an optical viewfinder, then you will appreciate that in this camera. If you are heavy into optics, then you will appreciate the new Penta-Prism which is the proprietary prism finder in the K5. This will be as close as you can get to 100% due to the 1.0 magnification. So you can pick and choose the subjects you want much faster and easier as a result. The K5 has performed very well as a result, and that seems to be evident in the various feedback we have seen.

But we do have to remember that there is a very wide range of experience in the market, obviously. The K5 seems to be able to cover so many areas with all their various feature improvements that many will find at least a few to like. Those images shot at a reduced ISO have been favorably reviewed by some users. Many photographers avoid JPEG’s for their own reasons, however if you want them it is there. Yet, we do realize that JPEGs are not attractive for more advanced photographers, so there are other files and formats available.
Pentax has made extensive use of CMOS designs in the K5, and that is where the speed improvements come from. CMOS is preferred by many because it is faster, and it also lends itself to faster processing.
