Effective Strategies to Burn Fat Not Muscle

July 15th 2011 -

A very curious and fascinating aspect to burning fat and not muscle is how your body reacts to the different things thrown at it. For example, there are people out there who think that the removal of dietary fat is needed, so they simply consume foods that are fat free. There’s a quick and very sudden drop in the amount of fats they eat.

The problem with this method is that your body will start to store fat. Your body will work hard to keep all of the fat on your body, but this isn’t what we’re trying to do. The body needs a bare minimum amount of fat each and every day, which is supplied through diet, so being extreme with your intake isn’t good. Here are some more great tips to help burn fat and not muscle.

If you are really serious about burning the fat off, then one proven exercise approach is to do interval training. There are many ways to do this with a variety of exercises. As an example, you could use either a regular bike or a stationary one, or you could use a treadmill. You can, and will burn fat by doing some cardiovascular exercises like long distance running. However you don’t want to be doing this if you wish to approach it in an effective way. We’re making the distinction of how to lose fat the ‘most effective’ way.

Cutting out high fat content foods is something a lot of people do as they think they need to. Eating all the high fat food you want is not a good idea, we know this. However, you want to reduce your intake of fat instead of stop having any fat at all. The reason of this is due to the starvation principle. This happens when you refuse your body of something and it reacts by storing what is being taken away. Totally eliminating all fats from your diet will make your body conserve and store fat even more.

The people with some background knowledge regarding diets will know that carbohydrates of the complex type should be avoided in excess. But if you don’t then you will need to understand that by eating too many of them you will get fat. It’s perfectly ok to eat them regularly as we do actually need them, but eating too many in one meal should be avoided. So when you are shooting for fat loss, then minimize the starchy foods and eat proteins along with some fat content. If you do this as well as doing regular workouts you’ll see some wonderful results.

Learn as much as you can about your body and how you can change it. It can work against you if you deprive your body of something that is needed.
