There have been many different Windows operating systems, and most Windows users have found Windows 7 to be quite an improvement. With the coming of Windows 7, Windows is gaining ground on Mac computers with much better security and less likely to crash. People who use systems such as Windows Vista or XP, as well as earlier versions, have had many complaints about glitches and crashes. Most of Microsoft’s operating systems released up to now, haven’t been very reliable, until Windows 7 came along. When Windows 8 comes out later, we will have to see if it will be better than Windows 7.

Remote Wipe is a feature that has been available for a while on iPhones, but hasn’t up till now been possible on computers. This will allow you to erase your computer’s entire hard drive remotely in the event that you lose it or someone steals it. If you have any personal or sensitive information on your computer, this can give you peace of mind. The iCloud serves as the hub for this feature and it is only available through the Lion OS. So far there isn’t anything that really compares to this on Windows computers. Obviously it also helps to back up any data that you think is important so that if you ever need to erase your hard drive you aren’t going to lose anything important.
There are some very important differences between Windows and Mac, and now you know some of them. A Mac or a reasonably good PC will serve your needs for most tasks you will do each day, such as watching videos, chatting, running typical programs, and whatever else.
